Many of the pubs feels that Obama lies more than other politicians, or lies significantly, or whatever. Every time I come across this issue, I find people make ridiculous claims, do not quote Obama correctly, or exaggerate things out of context. For example, with the lobbyist issue, Obama said he would hire no corporate lobbyists, while Bush and McCain had millions. Obama then hired one corporate lobbyist, and the right immediately calls him a 'serial liar'. To me, this is an example of pubs refusing to be sincere, rather than evidence that Obama lies significantly. Another issue are campaign promises. A campaign promise is a promise to try to enact legislation. It is not a promise to pass legislation, which is beyond the power of the president alone. Also, many of Obama's promises were things that Obama would like to do, but cannot, given the coalition of the conservatives who block a lot of his legislation.
